Josh has been using cane - bundled strands of colorful glass - in innovative ways for fifty years. In his earliest art nouveau flower vases, tiny slices of his own handmade cane represented pistils and stamens.
But soon he had a new idea: what if he transformed cane into little "spaceships" and set these into orbit within solid glass imaginary worlds? Thus was born Simpson Planets... and the rest is history.
