The Shepherd's Hope Gala took place on September 23 with an Oscars theme.
Tom and Shari Williams were awarded the highest honor Shepherd's Hope gives, The Maryanne Brown Award. Maryanne was Tom's long-time Executive Assistant (now deceased), so it was an especially poignant moment for them.
Ruth McKeefery was awarded a "Lifetime Achievement Award" as the first Executive Director of Shepherd's Hope.
Congratulations to Ruth, Tom, and Shari, as well as all the wonderful volunteers that supported the fundraising efforts for such a worthy nonprofit organization that makes healthcare for the underinsured a reality.
If you would like to make a donation or volunteer your time to Shepherd's Hope visit shepherdshope.org/donate-2.

Habitat for Humanity Milestone
As part of our Restoring Hope vision of creating pathways to thriving lives for families facing hunger, homelessness, and poverty, we are happy to announce that our partner in affordable housing, West Orange Habitat for Humanity, is finishing up a three-home build on Bethune Ave. in East Winter Garden.
Our St. Luke’s Team is part of a larger group that partners with West Orange Habitat. We are so grateful to this dedicated team of St. Lukers who have shown up and worked on these homes.

The Right to Clean Water
Thank you to everyone who joined us for World Communion Sunday! With your help, we collected nearly 100 petitions, and now have 150 petitions signed!
If you have not done so already, we invite you to sign the Right to Clean Water Petition to protect Florida waters from impairment and pollution so humans and wildlife can enjoy clean and healthy water. Our Children and Youth Ministries have helped make beautiful drop boxes and for the next two months, there will be stations all over campus to turn in your signed petitions!
Our goal is to have 2,000 signed petitions by November 30. Be sure to sign a petition and grab a few extra for others in your life so that we can all Care for God's Creation one drop at a time!
