Dear St. Lukers,
I'm thrilled to be writing my first Weekly Update message to you all as St. Luke's Director of Mission Engagement! I am very excited, along with the Missions team, about our Sleep in Heavenly Peace build day this Saturday, April 29. As part of our Restoring Hope Initiative here at St. Luke's, Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) fits perfectly with our commitment to sustainable and dignified housing for our neighbors, and we hope you will come out and join us.
Close to 800,000 children in the U.S. don’t have a bed. These children end up sleeping on floors – sometimes without a mattress. A bed is a basic need for a child's physical, emotional, and mental well-being. SHP is a national organization answering the call to this national problem by partnering with organizations, like St. Luke's, to build, assemble, and deliver top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need.

A Special Note from Jon Crump - St. Luke's Clergy Appointments
As the chairperson for your Staff Parish Relations Committee, it is with great pleasure I announce that all of our pastors will continue in ministry with St. Luke's for another year!
Each year, the Conference assesses the appointments of clergy based upon the desires of the church they currently serve, the clergy’s own personal and professional aspirations, and vacancies and needs across the Conference. We are blessed to have amazing and dedicated clergy who so ably lead St. Luke’s in ministry, and have expressed a personal and professional desire to remain in ministry with us. We are equally blessed that the Bishop and his cabinet supported the continuity and stability of our clergy team in support of our church.
Please join us in thanking our phenomenal clergy team for their outstanding leadership over the past year as we look forward to another year with their leadership of St. Luke's in awakening disciples to reveal the Kingdom, and revealing the Kingdom to awaken disciples.
