Our Central College family has shown resilience as we weathered the recent cold blast across half of the country. To bring some warmth to your winter days, we thought you might enjoy a look back at a sunny 2025 Commencement ceremony. We look forward to another great Commencement in a few short months!
You are invited to Commencement for the Class of 2026 at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium. Mike Main, M.D., cardiologist, Central trustee and 1987 graduate, will give the keynote address.
Until then, February offers many activities for the Central family to enjoy! Laugh and tap your toes at the visual and performing arts’ production of First Date, Feb. 26 to March 1. The Iowa Honors Band will hold a concert on campus 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7. The High School Bandfest Honor performance will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, and Singfest Honor Choir concert will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24.
February is also a busy month for Central athletics. Cheer on our student-athletes as they compete in baseball, basketball, softball, track and field, tennis and wrestling. With so many options, be sure to check out the events calendar for details.
