A few notes from the nurse:
With the chill in the air and more time being spent indoors, we have officially entered cold and flu season. Flu symptoms include fever, chills, sore throat, muscle aches, fatigue, cough, headache, and runny/stuffy nose. To help prevent the spread of illness, please keep your child home from school if they are not feeling well. I have been encouraging frequent hand washing and cough etiquette here at school. We continue to sanitize surfaces in the classrooms to help prevent the spread of illnesses. Wash your hands and say your prayers because Jesus and germs are everywhere!
Children are still enjoying recess outside! This is a reminder to make sure your student(s) is/are bundled up with the appropriate winter gear—coat, hat, scarf and gloves!
School Health Screening:
Our school hearing screening is scheduled for Monday, November 28th. All students in grades 1-4 will be screened at school on that date. Students in kindergarten and 7th grade who did not have a hearing screen at their physical this year will also be screened. If students in these grades are absent, our re-screen date is scheduled for Monday, December 12th. If your child(ren) fail/s the hearing screen, a referral will be sent home after December 12th. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
