Notre Dame to host listening session on national radio spectrum strategy
Access to a key natural resource is at a premium, and it’s not petroleum or lithium — it’s radio frequency spectrum. The federal government allocates radio frequencies so broadcasting, GPS, public safety and other networks can operate, but demand is increasing thanks to 5G and Wi-Fi networks and scientific, satellite and defense apps.
