We hope you are excited for your student's Texas A&M New Student Conference (NSC)! We have some helpful information as you and your student prepare. To start, a few days ago, your student received an email communication from our office with information detailing vital steps they need to complete to ensure a smooth NSC experience.
Additional emails related to the NSC will be sent out by our office and your student’s academic unit; please ensure your student is reviewing this information and completing any necessary items. You can find a copy of the emails sent by our office at: tx.ag/NSCemails.
Parking:
All students receive a parking permit as a part of the NSC. To ensure your parking permit is issued, your student will need to upload your license plate information through applicant.tamu.edu > NSC Parking Permit at least two business days before the NSC. If your family is unsure about the car you’ll bring, use “ABCDEFG” as a placeholder. Your student can view and update your NSC Parking Permit by logging into their account on transport.tamu.edu.
View the included NSC Parking Permit Lots at: NSC Parking Map. The West Campus Garage is the most convenient option for Day 1. Upon arrival, you will not need to swipe into West Campus Garage, your license plate is your parking permit during the NSC.
Check-In:
Check-In is mandatory for all NSC participants and will take place on Day 1 of the NSC from 7:45-8:45 a.m. in the Memorial Student Center. Your student must be present for check-in. We are unable to check you or your student in without your student being present.
Schedule:
After check-in, Day 1 programs will begin at 9:15 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. Day 2 will begin at 8:30 a.m., and will include academic unit meetings, advising, and course registration. Course Registration:
