As a member of the Warhawk family for nearly 30 years, Roger Yin values empowerment of students to maximize learning in his classroom and outside of it. The professor of information technology earned the W.P. Roseman Excellence in Teaching Award in 2024.

Join the Chancellor's Cabinet and campus colleagues for a panel on fostering inclusivity for neurodivergent individuals on Wednesday, March 12, in the James R. Conner University Center Ballroom. The first forum, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to noon, is open to all, and the second, slated for 1 to 2:30 p.m., is student-focused. Hear from neurodivergent advocates, educators, and professionals on creating supportive, inclusive environments.

Learn about food deserts, their impact, and how we can help as a campus community this Tuesday, March 4, from 2-4 p.m. in University Center room 275. Explore free campus resources and earn one hour of community service for attending! Donations of luxury pantry items (e.g., spices, nonessential items) are welcome.

Student success coaching workshop

Open to UW-Whitewater faculty, staff and graduate assistants, the workshop “Complementary Coaching, Providing Successful Interventions in our Everyday Work” will take place Wednesday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to noon in University Center room 68. Learn about UW-Whitewater’s Student Success Coaching Model and how to use it to increase student success.

Women’s basketball earns conference title, NCAA bid

The UW-Whitewater women's basketball team won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title for the second time in three years and clinched an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, which starts this week.

Rebekah Taussig, a disability advocate, educator and best-selling author, presents “35 Years of the Americans with Disabilities Act: What it accomplishes and how it could and should be improved” on Tuesday, March 11, at 6 p.m. in Hyland Hall’s Timmerman Auditorium.
