Dear Eagle Nation:
As the autumn leaves fall and we approach the Thanksgiving Holiday, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each member of the Coppin family.  Serving as President is a privilege and honor, and I am thankful to lead such a remarkable institution, where we educate a community of diverse minds, foster growth, and witness the transformative journey of students.
The campus came together last week for our annual “Friendsgiving” meal. It was a wonderful opportunity for colleagues, students, and friends to spend time together, and share a meal. Members of my cabinet and I had the pleasure to be of service to all of you, as a token of our appreciation.

I am grateful for our students, their dedication, resilience, and passion for learning contributes to the culture of this campus. Faculty and staff, your unwavering dedication and hard work does not go unnoticed. You continually equip your students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in and out of the classroom. I am grateful for your expertise and commitment to excellence.
Our collective efforts and dedication foster us being a nationally recognized institution. I am proud of what we are achieving together, and I look forward to the continued success that awaits us.

I am thankful for the support and inspiration provided by the First Lady of Coppin State University, my beautiful wife Toinette, and my daughters, Ashley, and Alicia. Your love, strength, and understanding are unmatched. You do not only support me, but you support Coppin wholeheartedly.
Team Coppin may your Thanksgiving be filled with moments of reflection, joy, and spending time with loved ones. Whether you are traveling or staying on campus, I encourage you to embrace the spirit of gratitude and appreciation. When we return from the holidays, we will be closer to the end of the semester. I want you all to take this break to rest and recharge so we can conquer the final stretch of the semester.
