Dear Eagle Nation,
We opened the 2024 academic semester with a resounding infusion of energy as we welcomed new and returning students, faculty, staff, and Coppin Academy high school to our community of scholars!

The demand for the Coppin State experience continues to grow. Building on our enrollment growth over the last two years, we again see enrollment growth at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This year’s undergraduate enrollment and desire for residential accommodations has surpassed our on-campus housing capacity. Consequently, off-campus accommodations have been provided for over 300 students.

Last week, I had the pleasure of helping our new and returning Eagles settle in, both on and off campus. From greeting fresh faces to helping with the heavy lifting, it was truly a community effort. A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who dedicated their time and energy throughout the week and weekend to ensure our new and returning students felt at home from the moment they arrived.
As we build and resume our campus community, our Office of Campus Life and student Campus Activities Board have planned several activities for our students to enjoy, offering opportunities to have fun and connect with fellow Eagles outside the classroom.
2024 Weeks of Welcome Events
Students, whether you are beginning or continuing your journey at Coppin, strive for excellence. Our faculty, staff, and your peers are here to support you regardless of any challenges. Remember as a Coppin Eagle you are built to go against the headwinds.
I am excited to start this new academic year with you and to show the world what it means to Soar!
Have a great semester and Go Eagles!

Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships play an important role in shaping our students' educational journeys. Scholarships not only alleviate financial burdens but also empower our students to focus on their academic and personal growth without undue financial stress.

Applying for scholarships is more than just seeking financial aid; it is a testament to your dedication to achieving excellence in your chosen field. It demonstrates initiative, perseverance, and a commitment to your educational goals. Scholarships provide opportunities for deserving students to access higher education and realize their full potential.
