Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) staff will offer 20-minute discussion sessions throughout February and early March 2026 for 9% Federal Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Applicants. These sessions provide an opportunity to discuss proposed projects and receive technical assistance related to the application process.

Please note that requests for interpretations of the Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) will not be addressed during these sessions. Questions requiring QAP interpretation should be submitted in writing to the Housing Tax Credit team at housingtaxcredits@iowafinance.com.

All applicants are encouraged to register for a session. If the listed times do not work for your schedule, please contact Stacy Cunningham to coordinate an alternate time at Stacy.Cunningham@iowafinance.com.

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) and the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) have designated five communities as 2026 Iowa Thriving Communities for their innovative efforts to expand housing opportunities at all income levels.

This designation provides incentive points in the Federal and/or Workforce Housing Tax Credit programs, available for the 2026 Federal 9% Housing Tax Credit round. The communities listed below have incentive points available for the 2026 Federal 9% Housing Tax Credit round.
