Dear Researchers,
Summer is here! We hope the academic year ended well (aside from the Canvas snafu) and you have been able to enjoy a little bit of downtime. We know the summer is really busy for all of you—research, catch-up, hopefully some time with family and friends, and more.
See the information below; there is likely something offered by the Indiana CTSI that can support your research in some way.
Please hold October 21, 2026, on your calendars. We will be hosting our Indiana CTSI Summit (aka Retreat) at the Smith Ballroom at the Morris Inn here on campus. The theme of the retreat will be mental health. The specifics and details will be coming as soon as possible.
Enjoy the summer session, and please do take some time to relax and recharge!
Sincerely,
Melanie DeFord, Deputy Director and Assistant Vice President for Research
Prakash Nallathamby, Notre Dame Navigator of the Indiana CTSI

Letter of Interest: September 17, 2026
Submission Deadline: October 1, 2026

The Indiana CTSI includes Indiana University, Purdue University, and the University of Notre Dame as the major academic partners along with a number of other institutions and entities in the state.
It is funded by a Clinical and Translational Sciences Award from the National Institutes of Health amounting to some $38 million for the current seven-year funding period of 2023-2030. This funding is supplemented by additional support from many other institutional and corporate partners.
Funding is provided to researchers by many mechanisms to promote translational and collaborative research among the partner institutions.
