Academic Portfolio Transformation Update

The Academic Portfolio Transformation survey received 95 responses, representing approximately 67% of programs with participation from all Colleges. Several key themes and curricular interests emerged from the results, including social justice, equity, and community; sustainability, climate, and the environment; and health/community health.

Faculty also identified several areas of student curricular need, including developing students’ ability to ethically understand and use AI and emerging technologies; strengthening career development support; and building transferable, applied skills.

Faculty are invited to gather at the Faculty Development Center on the following Wednesdays from 2:30 – 5:00 pm to learn more about the Academic Portfolio Transformation, share ideas, and collaborate with colleagues: March 11, March 25, April 15, April 29 and May 13.

Presentations are also being held in support of the initiative:

  • Friday, March 13, 1:00 – 2:00 pm, I&I 1300, “Calculating the Cost of Academic Programs & Trends in Higher Education”
  • Tuesday, March 17, 2:30 – 3:30 pm (Zoom), “Curriculum Review 101,” Assessment Toro Hour
