Dr. Kysha Harriell to Serve as CAATE President-Elect Beginning in October

We are pleased to announce that Kysha Harriell, PhD, LAT, ATC, FNAP, has been elected President-Elect of the CAATE Commission. She will begin her President-Elect term in October 2026, leading into a three-year term as President from Fall of 2027 to Fall of 2030.

Dr. Harriell currently serves as CAATE Vice President and brings extensive experience as a clinician, educator, scholar, and leader in athletic training education.

She is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Sport Sciences and a faculty member in the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program at the University of Miami. She also serves as Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Advocacy in the School of Education and Human Development.

"It is an incredible honor to serve as CAATE President-Elect. I am excited to help shape the future of athletic training education while building on CAATE's strong foundation of quality, innovation, and collaboration," Dr. Harriell said.

Her distinguished career includes national recognition for leadership and service, as well as a longstanding commitment to preparing future healthcare professionals.
