Check Your Holds Week

Students, prepare for the fall 2026 registration period by checking your holds — campus’ way to ensure you connect with required resources — between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Monday-Friday, March 30-April 3, at One Stop, located in room 129 of the University Center. Staff members are ready to assist you with navigating holds on your account so you can register for the fall semester.

Wednesday: Dining Dollars deadline 

Last call! This Wednesday, April 1, is the final day to charge Dining Dollars to your student bill. Check your balance any time online or visit the HawkCard Office (UC 250). Dining Dollars »

April 11: Suicide Prevention Walk 

Join University Health and Counseling Services for UW-Whitewater's annual Out of the Darkness campus walk for suicide prevention on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. in the North Mall by the University Center. The event is hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and UWW Active Minds.

This Thursday, April 2, 20% of any purchases made from Toppers in Whitewater between 4-9 p.m. will benefit the walk. Throughout the month of April, $.50 from each Drink of the Month purchased at The Sweet Spot in Whitewater will also benefit the walk. Learn more about the Suicide Prevention Walk »

April 29: University staff recognition 

Celebrate recent or upcoming university staff retirees and award winners on Wednesday, April 29, in the University Center Old Main Ballroom (UC 275). Breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m., followed by the formal program at 8:30 a.m. Please RSVP by April 17.

2026 baseball, softball teams 

The Warhawk baseball and softball teams’ 2026 seasons are well underway. The baseball team played its first home games over the weekend, while the softball team hosts its first games at van Steenderen Softball Complex this Friday.

Warhawk earns national scholarship

Josie Starin, an elementary middle education major from DeForest, Wisconsin, was named one of four recipients of the Transervice College Scholarship Award for the 2025-26 academic year.

Students excel at Perfect Pitch business competition

A total of 34 UW-Whitewater students were recognized for their performances at the 2026 Enterprise Mobility Perfect Pitch Competition on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

Kudos to John Vodenlich, head baseball coach, and Zach Bayreuther, assistant baseball coach and lecturer of kinesiology, who presented at the 2026 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Clinic in February. Kudos to Katrisa Haagensen, violence prevention specialist, and the University Health and Counseling Services team for being recognized by It’s On Us for being among the 16 most highly engaged chapters in the nation during the fall 2025 semester.
