Save the Date for the First Work of the College Series Event of 2026-2027

On Sept. 1 and 3, President Manya Whitaker, Chief Operating Officer Pedro de Araujo, and Vice President of Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer Lori Seager will present the first Work of the College Series sessions of the year, sharing the Institutional Review's findings and the College's plans for implementation.

The findings build on the executive summary shared with campus this summer, which the Board of Trustees reviewed in depth at its July meeting. From that discussion, the Board identified four priorities moving forward:

  • Rebuild the admitted student experience in key markets to bolster enrollment yield
  • Strengthen student retention and fundraising before pursuing new revenue streams
  • Elevate immersive learning and career outcomes, highlighting the Block Plan as a differentiator that facilitates post-graduate success
  • Build our data and analytics foundation to ground major decisions in reliable, consistent information

This session will cover how the College is putting those priorities into action and what to expect as efforts get underway.

Faculty, staff, and students are all encouraged to attend. Both sessions will cover the same material, so choose the date that works best for you.

Tuesday, Sept. 1 | 3-4 p.m. | Bemis Great Hall | [Register]

The Work of the College Series is a year-long program of events with four goals: (1) clarify organizational structures and decision-making processes; (2) offer campus constituencies the opportunity to dialogue with leadership about campus affairs; (3) increase decision-making transparency in hopes of building trust; and (4) build community.

The Work of the College Series consists of:

  • Community Conversations (dialogue about specific topics)
  • Roadshows (presentations and Q&As)
  • Board of Trustees Town Halls (informational updates)
