Update from Campus Safety

We are writing to provide an update regarding the Sept. 15 timely warning about two burglary incidents on the Colorado College campus.

Jesse Lupo, the suspect identified in connection with those incidents, was taken into custody today and no longer presents a threat to campus.

The investigation remains active. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is encouraged to contact:

Campus community members are encouraged to continue following these basic safety recommendations:

  • Lock their residence hall rooms.
  • Do not allow people to piggyback.
  • Do not prop open, disable, or otherwise alter door locks or latches.
  • Keep room keys with them at all times.
  • Use a buddy system while walking on campus after dark.
  • Use the RAVE Guardian application. 
  • Report suspicious activity, behavior, or circumstances immediately.
  • Utilize Campus Safety services and resources when available.
