A Glance at VP Bowman's Summer

For this newsletter, we wanted to keep it light and share some pictures of a few things we are proud of - namely, all of your hard work! I also wanted to share a picture of my three dogs, and the fruits of my garden. All of these pictures make me incredibly happy and I hope they do the same for you!

Solar Panel Installations

Curious as to what has been going on around parking structure 5 and parking lot 1C this summer? In hopes to attain carbon neutrality by the year 2040, Sacramento State is actively installing solar panels at various parking locations on campus.

The ceremony is acknowledging the lifesaving efforts by Sergeant Emily Kelly, Pending Counselor Jordan, Cpl. Jesse Smith, (Ret.) Officer Dianne Patton, Officer Daisy Vazquez, Dispatcher Valerie Kessler, Dispatcher Erika Parodi, CSO Manuel Ponce, and CSO Emily Vanegas-Chan.

Staff Recognition Nominee Celebration

A record-breaking number of 192 nominations were received for this year’s recognition program. In light of all who were acknowledged for their hard work and service here at Sacramento State, the Staff Recognition Nominee Celebration served to honor every individual.

Fresh Kick Fridays

In honor of President Luke Wood, Felicia Forte and Karla Rodriguez have created a fun way to celebrate Fridays at Sacramento Hall by having everyone show off their Nike Jordans or any cool pair of sneakers you own. With the fall semester just right around the corner, we hope that “Fresh Kick Fridays” can be something all students, faculty, and staff can participate in and enjoy!
