Whitman Receives $10 Million in Gifts Toward Harvey Hall and Student Village
The Whitman College Board of Trustees, alumni and friends of the college made gifts of $10 million toward the first building of a student residential village—Harvey Hall—which will be named in honor of the college’s longest-serving Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Peter Harvey, who will retire later this month.

Division of Diversity and Inclusion Quarterly Update
The Johnston-Fix Foundation has agreed to continue to support Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives at Whitman College through the 2023–2024 academic year. Johnston-Fix has been the principal sponsor for the Third Space Speaker Series through a seed grant they provided initially in 2021 to support projects developed by the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion.

over under on in between features three dances by faculty members Renée Archibald and Peter de Grasse, and returning guest artist LROD, whose hybrid dance/film work was presented in the Studio Series last year. The three student-performed works will foreground collaboration as method and subject and will consider concepts of relationality.

Whitman Spring Seasons Wrap Up
It's been an outstanding spring for Blues Athletics! Women's Lacrosse participated in the first-ever Northwest Conference Championship. Distance Track, Baseball, and Men's Tennis all had good showings at their respective conference contests. Women's Tennis captured their first Northwest Conference Tournament title since 2018, and won the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament which begins in early May. .
