GivingMatters.com is partnering with GivingTuesday!
Last November, we noticed organizations utilizing skills learned through The Big Payback to create their own GivingTuesday campaigns using the Peer-to-Peer Fundraising tool on GivingMatters.com!
In the months of November & December 2021, 153 organizations received donations through GivingMatters.com. While many organizations did well on that special day, one used this tool paired with targeted marketing through social media and e-newsletters to raise almost $8,000 through the site!*
Since our team is always looking for ways to fill your organization's needs, we wanted to provide you with a few tools that may be helpful in anticipation of your own organization's potential campaigns. How, you ask?
  • There is no sign-up or registration for GivingTuesday. However, to participate as part of this partnership, an organization must have an up-to-date and complete GivingMatters.com profile and create at least one Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser on your organization's behalf. Organizations with expiration dates of 08/31/2022 or earlier will need to make all required updates in order to receive donations for the big day throught out site. To update your profile, login as a nonprofit on GivingMatters.com and make all required updates
  • Need help creating a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser? Have no fear! Here's our brief training video that walks both organizations & supporters through how to do that. Please remember that this partnership is with GivingMatters.com, so organizations creating fundraisers will want to select the "Create Fundraiser for GivingMatters" button.
Other Helpful Tools!
Giving Matters on Giving Tuesday .gifThis dynamic image can be used as your Hero Image when creating a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser on GivingMatters.com (just save it to your Desktop & upload it when you're creating your campaign!). You are also welcome to share it with your supporters so they can create campaigns on your behalf or via social media and e-newsletters.

Use the #GivingMattersOnGivingTuesday hashtag in all of your social media posts. Our team will be sharing all content with this hashtag on November 29, 2022, via our GivingMatters' Facebook page to help spread the word. #GivingTuesday is also a helpful hashtag to spread your organization's story!

The folks at GivingTuesday have created incredible toolkits for those interested in taking a deeper dive. Our favorites are the GivingTuesday Canva Templates! Like The Big Payback, GivingTuesday rewards organizations most that mobilize their Board, Staff, & Volunteers to gain momentum & support, as well as have a strategic social media plan to share their impactful stories!
Don't need another fundraising event but want to utilize GivingTuesday as an opportunity to engage your The Big Payback donors? Consider organizing a volunteer event on the big day and encourage those volunteers to share their plans with GivingTalents. #GivingTalents
*Please note that all donations received through GivingMatters.com are subject to software and credit card processing fees. These fees vary annually and are dependent on negotiated rates with our software and credit card providers. Donors are made aware of this at the time of their donation and are given the opportunity to add an additional 6% to their donation to help alleviate that cost. Fees are estimated to be approximately 6%. Gross donation totals for each organization are available on GivingMatters.com in realtime under the My Donations tab.
