“There's something about Billie's music that translates so beautifully to the palette of a string quartet,” shares group violist Rita Andrade. “Her intricate harmonies and soft melodies shine all the more! Huge gratitude for the chance to play on this record with VSQ's legendary arrangers and string players. Pure joy!”
“you should see me in a crown” follows “What Was I Made For?”, released earlier this month. VSQ Performs Billie Eilish offers 15 string renditions from Eilish's chart-topping catalog, including classical revamps of “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” and “bad guy.” The forthcoming album adds to a prolific creative streak for the group this year, following their VSQ Performs BLACKPINK LP, VSQ Performs the Hits of 2025 EP and this spring’s VSQ Performs Frank Ocean, which garnered praise from COMPLEX, Exclaim! and Rolling Stone who said, “Who knew Frank Ocean would sound just as cool as classical music? Vitamin String Quartet sure did.”
Recently, VSQ stopped by The TODAY Show to perform their classical spin on a-ha’s “Take On Me” – watch here. They’ve also shared insight into their creative process with NPR’s Here & Now. With over 2 billion streams and over 1 million physical units sold, the group is known for their classical reinterpretations of pop hits. Fresh off high-profile placements in the Netflix and Shondaland original hit series Bridgerton, which recently caught the attention of Slate, VSQ has "reached a mainstream, global audience" (Variety) and "charmed the world with their classical covers" (Nylon). The group has had 11 Billboard charting albums, with their 2024 release VSQ Performs Taylor Swift hitting #1 on both the Classical and Classical Crossover charts.
VSQ is currently on the road in North America, Europe and the U.K., including stops in Berlin, Toronto, Seattle, San Diego, Austin and more throughout 2026. See below for a full list of dates or visit their website for more information.
