Columbia Theological Seminary will help us to read
the biblical witness about Sabbath rest, and see it as a blessing rather than a curse.

Conversations for a Polarized World

As we head toward another presidential election, many
Americans are beyond fatigued with partisan politics and
the division it’s causing. This class will be a space for
hard conversations, but ones grounded in our shared faith.
Join us as we seek to model love for each other while
discussing topics such as homelessness, immigration, faith
and politics alongside various Scripture passages. We’ll explore what it means for us to “love God” and “love your neighbor as yourself” in the 21st century.

“The Will of God”
How do we reconcile belief in a loving and powerful God with the suffering in our present world? Over the next three weeks, Tom Wylly will lead us in a discussion of God’s will in our lives with insights from “The Will of God “ by Leslie Weatherhead and “Why? Making Sense of God's Will” by Adam Hamilton.
This week, we will discuss God’s Circumstantial Will focusing on suffering caused by natural laws and suffering caused by man. Please come join
in the fellowship and discussion.

Meet Jessie King
Adult Education Intern
Jessie is thrilled to be joining the Westminster team as the Adult Education Intern. She is from Boone, North Carolina – home of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Appalachian State University. Jessie is a senior at Belmont University, studying Faith and Social Justice with a minor in Christian leadership. She is also a Global Honors Scholar and had the privilege of spending a semester abroad in Aix-En-Provence. She has so enjoyed her time in the School of Theology and Christian Ministry. Though she grew up in the Episcopal Church, she has become plugged into the PC(U.S.A.) through UKirk. Previously, Jessie worked at Priest Lake Presbyterian in Antioch and is excited for the chance to continue discerning a call to ministry here at Westminster. Beyond her studies, Jessie is a mentor in the University Ministries office, President of UKirk, involved with One Love Belmont, and is on the Student Advisory Council for the School of Theology. She is an avid fan of UNC and Belmont Basketball, hiking, and exploring all Nashville has to offer.

SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN | 9:45 - 10:45 a.m.
Two-year-olds through Kindergarten go directly to their classrooms in the preschool hallway.
First through third grades come to the Chapel at 9:45 a.m. and are picked up down the hall in their classrooms.
Fourth and fifth grades sign-in on the first floor of the Wilson wing and then go upstairs to their classroom.
