Come to the Next Work of the College Series Event: All-Funds Budgeting Model |
Join President Manya Whitaker and Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer Lori Seager on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 3-4 p.m. in the Timothy Fuller Space, Tutt Library, for an overview of CC’s transition to an All-Funds Budgeting model.
The All-Funds Budgeting approach will unify all our revenue sources, including tuition and fees, endowment payouts, gifts, and capital funds, into one strategic view. This comprehensive model allows us to align resources with our priorities, reduce reliance on student tuition, and create an equitable framework that supports the full scope of our mission.
Come learn more about this direction and how the All-Funds Budgeting model is designed to simplify department-level budget management, ensure responsible stewardship of donated funds, and help us resource all college priorities effectively. Whether you are curious about how CC invests in students’ education, want to understand how budget decisions are made, or are interested in the College’s long-term financial sustainability, this session will offer insight into how we are building a stronger foundation for our community’s future. Register today!

By Julia Fennell ’21
Jack Saccaro ’26 spent the past summer using his Business, Economics, and Society (BESoc) major while interning at Baxter Credit Union (BCU) on the Business Development and Corporate Relations team.
“I felt well-prepared for the internship thanks to Colorado College’s Block Plan,” Saccaro says. “While I didn’t know everything going in, the model taught me how to quickly dive into a new environment, learn rapidly, and apply those skills. Within the BESoc major, my Statistics and Data, Math, and Modeling classes were especially valuable in preparing me for the analytical and model-building aspects of the work.”
Saccaro is passionate about using data and strategy to solve complicated problems. His classes at CC gave him a strong background in economics, business strategy, and analytical thinking, which he was able to use throughout his internship.

All Raquel wants to do is help her family run their campground in the Colorado mountains, but the worst has happened: summer school! She is having trouble reading but never fear, Pinkie the Purple Pineapple is here to save the day. Is Pinkie imaginary? Is she real? Maybe it doesn’t matter since she teaches Raquel to overcome her fears. In this bilingual show, you’ll hear a mix of English and Spanish. But don’t worry! No matter which language you speak, you and your kids will easily be able to follow along.
Raquel’s Purple Pineapple Adventures opens at the FAC on Saturday, Oct. 25, and runs through Nov. 2. Tickets for this bilingual show start at $18, and CC students get free tickets the day of the performance. For more information on show times, check out the website.
