- Senior assassin is getting serious. I’ve long been out, but good luck to everyone still holding on.
- You know her; you love her. Fashion icon and comedian Grace Gassel recently turned 21. Please wish her well as she enters this stage of life and Tony’s.
-
LAST TWIT SHOW is tonight at 9pm in Taylor Theater.
- The Reminders were on campus! With Latinx pop, rock reggaeton band 2MX2. Shoutout Nina and Emily who broke out some moves.
-
Also shoutout everyone who participated in MONOCHROME WEEK. A note from its founder, Pardes Lyons-Warren (’23), who says “Honestly I’m so touched and proud that it’s gone on and grown without me, I’m not sure I have anything left to say.” We are also speechless. Thank you, Pardes.
- The last CROOZ of the ’24-25 academic year is this very night. 10pm. Worner. I will add that you should WEAR A HELMET and be careful.

- We are putting the final touches on our bylaw overhaul. If there’s a will, there’s a way.

I am happy to say that CCSGA has accomplished one of our major goals for the year: We have been able to finally implement a reporting process and funding lag that means for the first time ever (or for at least a long time), CCSGA will have full visibility into what your 1.2 million in student activity fee dollars is used for across campus. They are put to good use to support the student experience, but until now, we have not had any of the specifics.
- Thank you to all our seniors for your service on CCSGA: Gina Jeong, Hunter Burge, Jess Duran, Julia Watson, Posy Vogt, Reign La France, Ryan Wyly, and Surakchya Risal
- We had our last Full Council meeting on May 1st with the upcoming Full Council for the 2025-26 school year. They're going to be awesome!'
- Club budget approvals are underway.
-
Our Fall and Spring Board of Trustees reports are available for you to read if you're interested in a recap of most of what we've accomplished. The summer report is currently sitting in my head.

Thank you to the Llama committee and all the staff and faculty who supported hosting an exceptional Llamapalooza!! We loved seeing everyone in their best festival attire. The pizza and donuts were an exceptional idea, and the music was great. This was absolutely the RADEST, WICKEDEST, MOST ELECTRIC Llama ever :)
- PSA: Who said there weren’t real llamas at Llamapalooza?!

Club Spotlight: Random Acts of Kindness (RAOK)
|
- Random Acts of Kindness (RAOK) was re-established at CC a few years ago and has been a pivotal part of the CC community since then. Their commitment to promoting an environment that enables students to relax and have fun during the stress of the block is greatly appreciated by many :)
-
RAOK collaborates with groups like the CCE to provide events for the CC community and for the greater Colorado Springs community that are fun to do AND supportive of our community members!
-
Some of their previous events have included hosting an annual ice cream social, making 4th week survival kits, creating thankful trees, hosting Valentine’s Day events at senior living facilities, and making dog toys for the humane society from reused materials like lacrosse balls and recycled t-shirts.
-
Recently, RAOK just finished collaborating with the Butler Center to create care kits for youth at Inside Out youth services stuffed with craft supplies, pride flags, stickers, beads, and more! RAOK focuses on providing the essentials to community members while ALSO providing fun supplies that can brighten anyone’s day!
-
Look out for RAOK’s welcome back social next year if you want a space to bring joy to yourself and others and join a community of caring individuals. If you want to learn more, feel free to contact k_gosney@coloradocollege.edu or s_mai2023@coloradocollege.edu or follow the RAOK Instagram @cc.raok.

I apologize to Tim Fuller in advance for the truly game-changingly bad essay I will be turning in Wednesday morning. My desire to write such an essay currently sits at -1,000%. On that note, inspiration to write this email is also low.
- My time, along with my 600 classmates, has come to an end. Current feelings about this are…impossible to say.
-
On the topic of leaving this place, Commencement begins at the early morning time of 8:30am for some reason, but doors open for guests to get their seats at 7am on a first come, first serve basis. Excited to hear how that mad rush goes. Pour one out for the staff who are volunteering at that time.
- I’ll be headed to the basement of the library sometime this week to aimlessly move bookshelves around in the basement. Technology continues to amaze.
- Someone please continue the tradition of putting a pumpkin on Tutt’s head next year.
- I’ll miss this place and all you wonderful people. I guess this is goodbye!

It’s no secret gossiping is one of my favorite pastimes, so I’m excited to do it with every single member of the student body. I am, however, thinking about a little name change for this newsletter. Maybe a Saturday morning debrief situation? Tbd.
- Recently I’ve been giving lots of thought to the relationship between my rbf and presidency. I’m not sure how I’ll balance the two yet, but I’ll keep you posted.
-
Other things I’ve been thinking about recently: the Worner basement remodel (send ideas plz), finishing the food in my fridge, the inevitability of the passage of time, egg flights, and am I allowed to say bad words in these?

I guess the only thing left to say is HAGS!
