Department spotlight: Parking & Transportation

Thank you to the Parking & Transportation team for the many ways they keep our campus moving. From innovative mobility planning to problem-solving for special circumstances, their work supports thousands of commuters and visitors across Vanderbilt each day.

The team recently earned two special honors:

🏆 A Better Tomorrow Award from 82 Alliance, recognizing global organizations for their investments in mobility and climate initiatives.

🏆 Renewed Bike Friendly University designation from the League of American Bicyclists, celebrating the university’s continuous commitment to safe, accessible bicycling on campus.

Turkey Toss: Staff appreciation 12/16

Celebrate the close of Vanderbilt’s Sesquicentennial on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Turkey Toss staff appreciation event. Pick up a turkey (regular, halal or tofurkey), enjoy light refreshments, giveaways and games!

It's official: Vanderbilt University in New York City

In early November, Vanderbilt University marked a defining moment in its 150-year history with the official establishment of its first campus outside of Nashville: Vanderbilt University–New York City.

Located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, the campus will welcome an inaugural cohort of students for an Undergraduate Semester Program and a Master of Science in Business and Technology program in fall 2026.

Know your USAC reps

The University Staff Advisory Council (USAC) is a group of elected representatives for  staff members who are not union-eligible.

Division of Administration 2025-2026 representatives are: Kevin Borgic, Amber Price, Isaac Seidel, Shelby Spring and Susan Taylor.
