Don't Miss Block 8 Faculty Lunch!

Join us on Wednesday, May 7, from noon - 1:15 p.m. in Gaylord Hall in Worner for Director of Assessment & Program Review Dr. Amanda Udis-Kessler's talk, "Power, Privilege, Possibilities: Rethinking Systemic Inequality."

In this talk, Dr. Udis-Kessler will share insights from her book Cultural Processes of Inequality: A Sociological Perspective. The book looks at cultural processes of inequality, providing examples from anti-Black racism, sexism, heterosexism, and cis-sexism in the U.S. Udis-Kessler's talk will focus on sociological understandings of power and privilege as well as concrete ways we can work against systemic inequality in our lives.
