Vanderbilt University held a “meet and greet” on Saturday, July 8 for all candidates running for a county-wide seat in the upcoming election. Over 300 community members attended the event to speak with candidates for mayor, vice-mayor, and Metro Council at-large.

Following the meetings, Diermeier hosted a congressional reception in the U.S. Capitol honoring members of the Tennessee congressional delegation.

With Election Day fast approaching in Davidson County, it’s time to make a plan to vote and get informed about your choices for officials serving at the local level. Early voting has begun and continues through Saturday, July 29 leading up to Election Day on Thursday, August 3. Candidates for Nashville mayor and vice mayor, Metro Council, and Metro Council at-large are on the ballot.
