Teacher of the Month - January 2022
In cooperation with the Mayor's office and City Council, the Rotary Club of Okla. City recognizes an outstanding teacher in our community.
Chelsie Titsworth has been a first grade teacher at Central Elementary School for 7 years, and is part of the First Grade English Language Arts and Math Curriculum Committees for the Putnam City School District.
She received the Unconventional Thinking in Teaching Grant from Marathon Oil in 2021.
She graduated from UCO with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Business Administration, and is committed to building a loving, engaging and equitable classroom community where all students thrive and feel a sense of belonging.
Chelsie enhances student learning by meeting each child exactly where they are and incorporates their interests and creativity into learning. She also serves as a mentor to new teachers in her building as well as students still in college, and believes strongly in growth mindset.
Chelsie loves being adventurous, traveling, playing pickleball and spending time with her husband Tyler and their goldendoodle Oakley.
