ICYMI: Momentum for Permitting Reform
Is Building

America’s outdated, overly complex permitting system continues to delay more than 650 major infrastructure projects nationwide. This week, with Congress considering reforms to modernize federal permitting, Business Roundtable urges policymakers to advance bipartisan solutions that will:

  • Provide greater certainty for businesses to move forward with critical investments that support American jobs and competitiveness.
  • Accelerate deployment of next-generation technologies — including AI and quantum — to maintain U.S. leadership in innovation.
  • Expand energy production to power the equivalent of 38–54 million homes nationwide.

Congress and the Administration have made important progress toward fixing America’s broken permitting system. Now is the time for comprehensive, bipartisan permitting reforms that will unleash domestic investment, economic growth and job creation.

Ready. Set. Let’s build the infrastructure of today and tomorrow.
