A new adaptation of the celebrated murder master that inspired Hitchcock's masterpiece. Tony is convinced that his wife Margot has been cheating on him. While the affair may be over, his jealousy is not. Tony spins a web of deception that will tighten around them, ensnaring them both in danger, recrimination and murder.

TheatreFEST 2025's Production of Jeffrey Hatcher's New Adaptation of Dial M for Murder Is First Rate

Jeffrey Hatcher's Dial M for Murder at NCSU's TheatreFEST 2025 Builds Tension Through Conversation, Pacing, and What's Left Unsaid
I hadn't seen the play before, so I leaned into the writing. Each scene asked me to listen closer. There's a rhythm to the dialogue that holds your attention, a sense that every line carries something hidden beneath it.
