Meet Lisa

Lisa Carter, MS, LPC, LCAC is the Director of the Mid-America ATTC and has been involved with the organization for nearly 20 years. She holds an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Emporia State University and has been in the field since 1995, working across various levels of substance use disorder care.

Prior to joining Mid-America ATTC, she directed a Methadone clinic and has trained hundreds of counselors through her work with state and federal agencies. Lisa also serves in leadership roles within the ATTC network and on the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.

Fun Fact!

When Lisa isn't advancing our mission, she enjoys spending summer weekends boating with her son, Cooper, who shares her love for the water and the great outdoors. Lisa also volunteers with HavaHeart Rescue, a non-profit canine rescue, and typically fosters one or two dogs alongside her four resident dogs.
