| DESIGNxGLASS Exhibit Opening
|
DESIGNxGLASS is an exhibit highlighting three years of Vignelli Center for Design Studies Summer Design Workshops in collaboration with Corning Museum of Glass.
Showcasing workshop projects from 2022, 2023, & 2024 and located at the new RIT City Art Space at 30 Adventure Place in downtown Rochester, from August 22 – September 21, 2025, Design x Glass celebrates the debut of the new RIT City Art Space gallery, and will showcase both 3D printed prototypes and final glass project fabrications created by workshop participants.
DESIGNxGLASS will run from August 22nd through September 21st with an opening reception on Friday, September 5th from 6pm-9pm.
A ribbon cutting for the new gallery space will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at 10am.

About Rarify
Rarify is a brand specializing in vintage and modern design from the past, present, and future. Founded in 2021 by David Rosenwasser and Jeremy Bilotti, Rarify has amassed a collection of over 12,000 iconic design pieces.
David Rosenwasser (Co-CEO at Rarify) is a researcher, furniture expert, and 15-year business owner. Rosenwasser was Senior Research Personnel in the Sabin Design Lab at Cornell University. He holds a B.Arch. from Cornell, an M.Des. in Technology from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), and is a Hunter R. Rawlings III Presidential Research Scholar. Rosenwasser is deeply passionate about design, technology, and authenticity.
Jeremy Bilotti (Co-CEO at Rarify) is a designer, computer scientist, and research scientist. Originally trained as an architect, he has since established a body of work developing new computational technologies for the design industry. Bilotti has worked with numerous design and technology firms, including the Sabin Design Lab, Microsoft Research, and the MIT Self-Assembly Lab. He has held faculty appointments at MIT and Cornell in product design and architecture, respectively.

In celebration and support of RIT’s ongoing restoration of the Bertoia Dandelion sculptures, The Vignelli Center for Design Studies welcomes Celia Bertoia, daughter of sculptor Harry Bertoia and Director of the Harry Bertoia Foundation, for a special film screening and Design Conversation on Wednesday, October 29th in the MAGIC theater.
The youngest daughter of Harry Bertoia, Celia founded and now directs the Harry Bertoia Foundation, based in southern Utah. Her passion is to further the legacy of her father. Celia has lectured widely on Harry Bertoia and his work, including in London and at prestigious museums throughout the nation. She is a fine art appraiser with ASA (American Society of Appraisers). She is also the author of The Life and Work of Harry Bertoia: The Man, the Artist, the Visionary. Celia loves most outdoor activities including paddle-boarding and hiking, and lives with her husband, cats, and goldfish.
Celia Bertoia will introduce the documentary Harry Bertoia: Master of Metal, for which she served as producer, and will join members of the Dandelion restoration project team for a Q&A with refreshments after the screening.

Ian Yang is the Founder and CEO of Gantri, a company born from his passion for design, technology, and the potential of 3D printing. After working in business strategy and product development, Yang saw an opportunity to revolutionize manufacturing by empowering designers through digital production. At Gantri, he combines his background in technology with a deep appreciation for design to create a new, more sustainable model for bringing innovative products to life.
