When it comes to public outreach, it’s important to cooperate with professionals outside of the healthcare industry as well as within it—for example, law enforcement and court officials, educators, clergy, human resources professionals, and other community leaders—to inform them about who we are, what we do, and why it matters. Working with these influential figures can help spread hope and ensure that those in need find access to Al‑Anon and Alateen.

The World Service Conference (WSC), Al‑Anon’s annual business meeting, provides guidance to the World Service Office on service matters that are brought to its attention. The first Conference was held in 1961. We invite you to discover what our trusted servants have been discussing and deciding throughout the years by checking out the previous World Service Conference Summaries (P‑46) from 1961 through 2024. 

Part of our mission at Al‑Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. (AFG, Inc.) is to serve our global fellowship by publishing our Conference Approved Literature (CAL) in three languages: English, Spanish, and French. We also frequently receive inquiries about the process of translating and publishing in additional languages. Find out more about the translation process.
