KAMALA'S CRYPTO RESET MUST BE INCLUSIVE

According to recent reports, the Kamala Harris campaign has reached out to a few large crypto companies to begin to reset the relationship with the industry, which has been icy with members of Biden's cabinet and some Congressional Democrats. There's optimism that Candidate Harris will prioritize Web3 and DeFi policy. However, there's concern that this outreach did not extend to Black and Latino leaders in blockchain and cryptocurrency. Data shows diverse communities, the working class, young people are the earliest and largest adopters of blockchain and cryptocurrency. A group of diverse crypto innovators are planning to send a letter to the Harris campaign after the DNC Convention to call on them to focus on measures to balance consumer protection and financial inclusion in order to empower entrepreneurs and SMEs in crypto. This should include provisions, such as expanding access to capital, increasing digital literacy, and incentives for small business infrastructure transformation.
