Human Resources is excited to announce the upcoming financial and retirement planning workshop offerings available for Sacramento State employees.
CalPERS Planning Your Retirement - For members within 10 years of retirement
This is CalPERS’ most comprehensive class that provides a deeper understanding of your benefits as you begin to prepare for retirement. Learn how your pension is calculated, ways to increase it, and the payment options available upon retirement to provide for a beneficiary. You will also learn about the CalPERS Special Power of Attorney and employer contracted CalPERS health benefits.

Fidelity On-Campus Office Hours
The CSU 403(b) Supplemental Retirement Plan (SRP) is a voluntary program that allows eligible CSU employees to save toward retirement by contributing to tax-deferred investments. Our representative can help with many of your financial needs, from investing in the SRP, to identifying ways to save for college tuition and much more. In-person appointments (registration required) are available for employees and will be held in Del Norte Hall 3001. Please visit the
Benefits Office web page for details and registration information. Attendees can also register by calling Fidelity at 800-642-7131. Fidelity, the SRP record-keeper, will be on campus the following dates:

- Thursday, July 18 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Friday, August 16 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saving Plus Program On-Campus Office Hours
The Saving Plus Program is a voluntary program that allows eligible CSU employees to save toward retirement by contributing to tax-deferred investments. Funding Your Retirement Future (For State and CSU Employees)
On June 26 and 27, CalPERS is offering two days of Funding Your Retirement Future virtual classes, no matter where you are in your career. You’ll hear from experts from CalPERS savings plans, Social Security, Savings Plus, and others. Classes are tailored to California State University (CSU) and state employees. To register, log in to
myCalPERS and open the Classes page under the Education tab. You can review class details and sign up for the class that works best for you.
