RISE 100 interviews today
|
UTA is excited to announce upcoming interviews for two faculty clusters as part of the RISE 100 initiative. This strategic hiring effort aims to enhance interdisciplinary research and teaching across multiple departments, with a particular focus on sustainability and artificial intelligence. The interviews, scheduled for today, Thursday, Jan. 23, and Monday, Jan. 27, will take place in two groups, and faculty candidates will participate in a group presentation that is open to all faculty. Both of today's presentations and Monday's presentations will be held in-person in Room 201 of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs building at 3 p.m. and via Microsoft Teams. UTA professor recognized for his community service
|
Jason E. Shelton, professor of sociology and director of the Center for African American Studies at UTA, received the "Advancing the Dream Award for Community Service” Friday, Jan. 17, at the MLK Advancing the Dream Gala, held in the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the University Center. Dr. Shelton, who chairs the Arlington Unity Council, a major commission that reports to the Arlington City Council, earned the award with his outstanding contributions to the Arlington community.
