Hospice 101

An introduction to hospice care with Michele Carter of Journey Hospice. Learn who pays for hospice, what hospice covers, and diagnoses that qualify for hospice care as well as any questions you may have about this essential if occasionally ignored, service.

Native Trees and Urban Landscapes  

Thursday, February 23rd  

6:30 pm | LBK Library Auditorium

Celebrate Arbor Week with a special presentation by Henry Hughes, an expert and innovator in preserving and propagating our locally native trees. He will share best practices and ideas for ensuring the success of the next generation of trees in urban and suburban settings. He created the innovative "Centennial Trees Program" to help to ensure the progeny of trees that may have been in place for hundreds of years will continue as the "next generation" after the older trees are no longer viable. Learn how you can protect native trees in our area, and support our local wildlife.
