Sports Physicals:
The ONLY free physicals this spring will be on May 23 from 3:30-6:30 at EVHS.You must have a physical and insurance on file before starting practice in any BMHS sport next year. Get it done this spring!

Baseball
Baseball finished up their regular season with 2 great wins over Aspen in their final games of the season. They also swept rival EVHS this year at home! The team finished the season 12-11, and was ranked 36th in 4A Baseball. 12 wins on the season ties the team's record for most wins in a regular season! Only 32 teams get to travel to the playoffs; the team has officially completed their season. Congrats to the team, Jeff Townsend and his staff on a great year!

Boys Lacrosse
Boys Lacrosse finished the regular season at 7-7 and were ranked 11th in the state this year. The team won their first round playoff game vs Durango at home. They went on and ended their season in round 2 of the playoffs, losing to Golden 10-6 in a well fought game. Congrats to Pat Doherty, his staff, and the team on a great season!

Girls Golf
The Girls Golf team competed in Regionals at Gypsum Creek on Tuesday. Congrats to Makena Thayer, Caleigh Kackman, and Abby Harrison for a great showing at regionals! Makena took 2nd place at the event, shooting an 84 on a very windy day. She was our only golfer to qualify for states. Congratulations to the team on all of their success this season!
Makena Theyer competed in the 3A State Championships on Monday and Tuesday. Day 1 she shot an 80 and was sitting in 5th place as she entered the 2nd round Tuesday Morning. She finished round 2 shooting a 76, just 4 over par. She had 4 brides today, and 8 pars. She shot the 2nd lowest round today in the entire field.
She finished 4th overall in the tournament out of over 80 golfers.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Shout out to Coach Tronsure as well for his support of Makena and the entire girls golf team this year for all of their successes this season.

Girls Lacrosse
The Girls Lacrosse team finished the season 13-5, and were the undisputed LEAGUE CHAMPIONS for the 3rd season in a row. The team rolled through the first rounds of the playoffs with ease and made it all the way to the semi-finals. The team lost in a heartbreaker in the semi-finals to # 2 ranked Green Mountain. They played nearly half of that game with a player down but did not quit. They brought it within a 1 goal difference in the 4th, and came up just short with a final score of 12-9. Congrats to the team on making it that far. This is the farthest the team has EVER gone. Congrats to Coach Bally, his staff, and the team on all of their success this year.

Girls Soccer
Girls Soccer went 7-6-3 this season, and finished ranked 29th in the state. They lost to # 3 seeded Lutheran in the first round of the playoffs this year to a very talented opponent. Congrats to the team, our new Coach Lauren Lux, and her staff on a great first season!

Speech & Debate
The Huskie Speech and Debate Team finished the regular season with an outstanding State Tournament. The Team took Third Place Overall, State Runner Up in Debate events and Third place in Speech Events. We had one State Champion, Eva Isaacs, who brought home a second consecutive 1st Place finish at the State Competition in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. The team then went on to make a strong showing at our National Qualifying Tournament held at Mesa University in March. Six Battle Mountain Competitors finished in first place in their events, earning a spot at the National Tournament this June which will be held in Des Moines, Iowa from June 15th - 21st. National Qualifiers include: Gabriella Gallegos in Informational Speaking, Diana Gaffnar in Dramatic Interpretation, Carys Highum in Original Oratory, Eva Isaacs in Big Questions Debate and Silas Heaphy and Chase Williams in Duo Interpretation.

Track & Field
Track & Field- BMHS had 3 athletes qualify for the State Championships this year. Lilly Beaumont raced to a 14th place finish in a loaded 4A 100 meter field. Jakob Methvin was next and competed in the 400. He came in ranked 13th and finished 10th overall and missed the finals by 2/100 of a second. Tyler Heimerl had an impressive finish of 9th place in the long jump and qualified for the next day of competition and fell short in the finals.

The girls tennis team were the 2025 Regional Champions! State Results- The team was a 5 seed in the Team Dual Bracket lost in the quarter finals. Congrats to them on a great season!
