Policy updates

AA-FH-PO-07 Faculty Absences and Leaves Policy

The Office of the Provost previously requested updates to this policy. Language was updated requiring department chair approval prior to changing the modality of a class. Leaves of absence without pay will be limited to one year, with the exception of certain unusual circumstances.

AA-FP-PO-01 Participation of Departmental Faculty in Departmental Affairs Policy

This policy was updated as part of a regularly scheduled review. The language “an annual evaluation of individual faculty for guidance in recommending promotions, reappointments, nonrenewal of appointment, tenure, and salary changes” was removed from the policy to better align with current practices.

CO-CV-PO-01 Parking and Traffic Policy

This new policy was put in place as a controlling parking and traffic policy to govern parking and traffic regulations at UTA.

GA-RFS-PO-01 Staff Advisory Council (SAC) Bylaws Policy

Updates have been made to reflect a recent vote by the SAC General Body to include assistant/associate directors in their representation. Previously it was manager level and below. In addition, the nomination process has been updated to require manager/supervisor approval to become a SAC representative.
