The UT Health Science Center kicks off its inaugural Family Campaign Wednesday, February 1. The UTHSC family – faculty and staff – are asked to make a donation of any size throughout the month of February to support campus programs and the colleges. A campaign kick-off event will be held Wednesday, February 1, from 8:30 am – 10:30 am and 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm in the Mooney/Nash Atrium. Food will be available, and anyone who donates will be able to pick up a UTHSC tumbler.
Be sure to take UTHSC’s Campus Survey, which was sent Monday to all employees in an email from Gallup. The survey should take about five minutes and will help university leaders understand the experiences of the UTHSC students, faculty, and staff members.
National Wear Red Day is Friday, February 3. All UTHSC students and employees are encouraged to wear red to raise awareness for heart disease and stroke. Meet at the bottom of the Madison Plaza escalators at 12:00 pm on February 3 for the annual “red photo.”
National Stalking Awareness Month
Campus Police and OIED are wrapping up National Stalking Awareness Month with a tabling event to provide information and resources to students, faculty, and staff. Stop by the tables in the Madison Plaza Lobby on Tuesday, January 31, from noon – 1:00 pm.
Register for the Opioid Conference
Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Opioid Conference, held March 3 at the Shelby Farms FedEx Event Center. Attendees will discuss and learn about the factors that lead to opiate dependency and misuse, and how medication-assisted therapy can help patients.
