CTE Summer Events

Our Faculty Intensive Institute (July 28 – 31) registration list filled up fast, but it is not too late to get your name on the waiting list! The first two days will focus on basic pedagogy training, and the last two days will be centered on “Teaching Gen Z.”

Add To Waitlist for FII 2025

CTE’s biggest event of the year, our Annual Teaching Symposium (ATS), is just around the corner on August 11. This event will start with a keynote address by an award-winning U of U faculty member, Matt Basso, followed by several breakout sessions throughout the day. Registration is now open, and it is free to all campus members involved in instruction (faculty, postdocs, grad TAs, staff, etc.).

Prepping for Fall Semester

All instructors are required to post syllabi to the class schedule via CIS prior to the beginning of classes each semester. Refer to CTE’s Syllabus Design page for templates, policies, and more information.

Syllabi for mandatory Fall 2025 courses must be posted to CIS by August 4th, 2025.
For non-mandatory courses, Syllabi must be posted by August 11th, 2025.

CTE has prepared a Syllabus Template with all content required by U of U PPM 6-100 and UT HB261.

If you have questions about your syllabus or would like to schedule an individual consultation with a CTE staff member, please fill out our consultation form.

If you have questions about your course Canvas page, contact Digital Learning Technologies, visit their Pre-Semester Canvas Checklist, or submit a help request form.
