UTA's men's basketball team will take on Tarleton State University in a WAC game that will air nationally on ESPNU. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. Come and be a part of history, as UTA aims to set a new attendance record for College Park Center. As North Texas prepares to welcome thousands of soccer enthusiasts for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, flying taxis have become a possibility to whisk fans around Arlington and the region. Jinzhu Yu, an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, has been tasked with identifying the best locations for vertiports, specialized hubs for aircraft that take off and land vertically.

The 2025 Maverick Momentum mentorship program, a partnership between the Staff Advisory Committee and the Office of Talent, Culture, and Engagement, successfully launched in January with 18 enthusiastic mentee and mentor parings.
