The Wall Street Journal ranked UTA as the top school in North Texas and No. 6 in the state on its 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S. list. The publication also ranked UTA No. 1 in North Texas and No. 4 in the state in the Best Salaries category.

Campus master plan update open house

The kickoff event for Hispanic Heritage Month is today, Monday, Sept. 16, 5-7 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom and University Center Foyer. There will also be a Hispanic Heritage Month presentation tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 17, 12-1:15 p.m. in the atrium of the sixth floor of the library.

| Disability Employee Network
|
The Disability Employee (DE) Network semester kickoff will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Room 132 of the Social Work Building. Food will be provided. The mission of the DE Network is to promote visibility and build community for people with disabilities and allies across campus.

In October, the Office of Talent, Culture, and Engagement is launching the MavsManager Foundations Program for team managers with two to three years of management experience. The three-month leadership development program aims to help leaders rethink teamwork and master leadership through foundational strategies and tools. The application deadline is Monday, Sept. 30. Amber Smallwood, vice provost of academic innovation, will be leaving UTA at the end of the month. Smallwood has accepted the position of senior vice provost of faculty affairs for the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and is set to begin Oct. 1.
