Westminster Launches Utility Affordability Listening Sessions |
The City wants to hear from you about challenges you may be facing related to utility costs. To ensure our community has the opportunity to provide feedback, the City will host a series of Utility Affordability Listening Sessions at our recreation centers and libraries over the next several months. The first event will be held Thursday, February 26, from 5 to 7 pm at West View Recreation Center (10747 W. 108th Avenue).

Water Supply Line Project Construction Begins
Beginning Monday, February 23, crews will install waterlines on Wadsworth Boulevard and W 92nd Avenue. Please expect travel delays and congestion on Wadsworth Boulevard. To minimize impacts for school pickup and drop-off for Mandalay Middle School and Semper Elementary School, please use Pierce Street or Church Ranch Road to access 96th Avenue. Learn more.

As construction continues on the new Drinking Water Facility and its associated projects, intermittent trail closures will be implemented for safety around the site near the Farmers' High Line Canal Trail and Hyland Ponds areas. Stay up to date on trail closures.

As you look ahead to spring cleaning, remember that the Westminster Sustainability Center (6020 W. 91st Ave.) accepts over 40 hard-to-recycle items such as electronics, paint, and Styrofoam.

The Westminster Police Department is once again teaming up with the Arvada Police Department for this year's Teen Citizens Academy. Held from June 1 through 5, the program offers an exciting week of direct contact with police instructors through lectures, hands-on experience, and demonstrations. Applications are due May 2.
