On October 6, Bishop Gene Robinson, C'69, delivered the fall convocation address and was awarded an honorary degree. 

Robinson graduated from the college in 1969 and served for a decade as bishop of New Hampshire, making him the church's first openly gay and partnered bishop.

The week of October 19 was a busy week on the Mountain. The celebration kicked off on Wednesday with a community-wide concert by the Sewanee Orchestra. On Thursday, we heard a conversation between Bishop Phoebe Roaf, Rob Pearigen, and Jon Meacham before the Installation. On Friday, we celebrated faculty publications and topped it off with a Sewanee Street Dance.
