A Snowy Start to February

We've had a snowy start to February! The recent storm brought us 12 inches of snow over several days. With more terrain opening up, we hope you're enjoying exploring more of the mountain and getting some turns in during Saturday milk runs or on your days off. As our open trial count continues to climb, please keep your safety in mind as you try out new gear or head into the trees. This time of year is great for fresh turns but please also take it easy after a busy couple of months. Thank you for all of your hard work in offering the Experience of a Lifetime to our guests.

Support the Gordon Robbins Memorial Scholarship Fund with Okemo SRS Logo Gear!

This week we launched our new store offering Okemo Ski & Ride logo gear. There are three items in the store and $5 of each purchase goes to the Gordon Robbins Memorial Scholarship Fund. These scholarships are for anyone looking to attend an educational event with PSIA/AASI. Gordon Robbins was a supporter of lifelong learning and was an inspiration to snowboarders of all ages and levels. To learn more about Gordon Robbins and the fund, visit here.

The store will be open until Feb 15. All items will be purchased online and then a bulk order will be sent to us about 3 weeks after the order closes for distribution. Thank you for supporting the Gordon Robbins Scholarship Fund!

Have a Heart Campaign

This year we are collecting donations again for the Chester Helping Hands (CHH). All money donated between February 1 and 14 will go to CHH. Cash donations can be made to your manager and you will be given a heart sticker to add to your nametag. Thank you for your support of our community!

Safety: Variable Terrain

Over the course of each day and your season as a whole, you will encounter many variables. Please take the time to review this video for some tips on how to reduce the risks of skiing and snowboarding in variable terrain and different conditions. You can use the information in this video to keep yourself and your students safe. If you have any questions after watching this video, please reach out to your supervisor or manager.

My EpicPromise Challenge

Join us for the Challenge on Epic Employee from February 14 to 25

The My EpicPromise Challenge is back for its second year to celebrate you and your commitment to your community, coworkers, and the environment during this challenging year. What better way to celebrate than to engage in fun activities while learning about EpicPromise with a chance to win awesome prizes?

The My EpicPromise Challenge is a game for all employees to learn more about EpicPromise, Epic Wellness, and our programs. Leading up to and during the Challenge, we will be featuring employees who are accomplishing amazing things within their EpicPromise work through a video series called, Celebration during the Challenge.

The Outdoorist Oath: Shaping the Future of the Outdoors

As we build our commitment to our newest foundational value Be Inclusive, it’s important that each of us take the time to seek out the resources to open our minds to real change. It all starts with awareness. Enter The Outdoorist Oath, a community and educational tool designed to empower individuals to become allies for the planet, inclusion, and adventure. Offering a free, two-hour workshop, The Oath provides outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to unlearn problematic ideas (racism, discrimination, and more), identify potential solutions, and learn how to implement them in their daily lives. This is a brand new organization, and workshops launch this month.
