Empanada Tasting To A New Artistic Level

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 7, 2023) — The stars shone brightly on downtown Nashville’s SkyDeck last night as Hector Tellez Jr. took the stage with a high energy performance at the Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce’s 8th Annual Empanada Tasting, bringing culture and cuisine together for a family-friendly evening of empanadas, community, and music.

La Cara Productions President Rick Rodriguez, who curated talent for the event, says, “This is the first of many great events I am looking forward to participating in. Music City is a tapestry of artistic convergence, and it’s great to be able to have more and more of our Latino artists have opportunities to perform in this great city.”

Delfine Perales Fox, TLACC Interim Executive Director, says, “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the community engagement. Empanadas always bring people together and having incredible music, great food and a full room celebrating and sharing the different flavors of the Latino/Hispanic culture with greater Nashville, is just incredible.”

Fresh off his Ryman Auditorium performance with The Mavericks last week, Muno Mundo recording artist Hector Tellez Jr. treated the crowd to a 45-minute set, followed by music from DJ Imperium.

The evening’s empanadas were provided by The Inka Trailer, Totuma, Maria’s Snacks, Empanada Lua, Judy’s Kitchen, Panecito KaLe, and Delicias Colombianas RR, representing Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Colombia.
