Join students from around the world (domestic and international) and local community members for a Global Friendship Spring Picnic at Peffer Park!
This event aims to bring together students from all over the world and local community members in the spirit of friendship and cultural exchange to enjoy food, fun, and hopefully nice spring weather. Games, fried chicken, veggies and dip, and drinks will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring a game or dish to share.

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Information
|
Thinking about a summer internship in the U.S.? Or, another off-campus work opportunity related to your major or academic program during your studies?
International students (on F-1 status) can request Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for work authorization to engage in off-campus employment that is directly related to their major field of study or academic program.

If you are planning on an internship, you should submit your CPT request to ISSS at least 3 or more weeks prior to your employment start date.
Note: International students are not permitted to engage in any off-campus work without first obtaining authorization. Work means receiving compensation for your services. Off-campus means any entity that is not Miami University.

Then join the Miami University Alumni Association, Miami University Student Foundation, and Career Services for an evening uptown where we will celebrate your accomplishments!

Ohio International Consortium Outstanding International Student Awards
These awards have been developed by the Ohio International Consortium as a way to recognize international students who have become assets to the State of Ohio and reward students who have succeeded academically and successfully integrated into the fabric of their campuses and surrounding communities. Two awards that carry a cash value of $1,500 will be given annually, one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students.
If you would like to apply to be nominated by ISSS for this award, submit application form and supporting documents to international@MiamiOH.edu by May 15.

DAB creates an opportunity for students to influence positive change on campus, celebrate student accomplishments, and help the Office of the Dean of Students set priorities and create initiatives. The board gives strategic direction to the Office of the Dean of Students and can help actualize the changes students want to see on campus. Additionally, the board assists in the Love & Honor Story Project, an initiative that highlights and celebrates student leaders who exemplify Miami values and the Code of Love & Honor. Summer positions
Conference Services is looking for summer student staff that will be actively involved in the day to day support and logistics of summer programs. Successful candidates would have a strong communication and organization skill set , as well as problem solving skills.
Candidates would need to be a very responsible person that can work independently or with a team of fellow student staff.

Voices Dialogue
The Center for American & World Cultures is hiring students to serve as peer dialogue facilitators for Miami’s Voices Dialogue program. Voices brings students together for structured and sustained dialogue across different social identities to help them succeed in life and to forge a more inclusive campus, workplace, and society.
As a Voices facilitator, you will be paired with one or two other students to facilitate peer dialogue using a detailed lesson plan that guides participants through team-building exercises, reflection prompts, and dialogic techniques.
The CAWC provides facilitator training prior to the start of the program and then ongoing support and supervision throughout the semester. Facilitators may choose to be compensated through course credit, practicums, internships, or hourly wages ($12.50/hour).
