You have one more month to go until the semester ends. It may feel overwhelming right now but keep pushing forward! Know that if you need support, the Transfer Alliance Program (TAP) and all the other departments at UML are here to help if you need it. 

Next week TAP is holding our final event of the semester: April Unwind!

TAP and our peer allies will be outside enjoying the spring weather with some relaxing activities as a breather from all of the stress the end of the semester can bring. There will be music, coloring pages and word or number puzzles. Stop by and hang out or grab a page or two on your way between classes.

Bring your friends! Everyone is welcome to take part and reset.

If you haven’t already, check SiS for your finals schedule by clicking the Exam Schedule button. If any of your exams overlap or you have three or more exams scheduled on one day, you have the opportunity to reschedule. View the exam policies to get more information.

 Some professors will choose to hold their exam in a different format – one where your scheduled exam time is not needed, like holding an online final or presentation. If you are unsure if your class is holding a final exam during its scheduled time, double check with your professor to confirm.

Writing Papers:
The writing center is available for you to book appointments with a writing tutor. These tutors are available through booking appointments to help you with writing projects.

Studying for Finals:
If there are any courses that have been challenging this semester that you would like extra help or review with before your exams, drop-in with a tutor for assistance. There are tutors available for many different subjects! Check out the drop-in schedule to see when, where, and for what classes tutoring is available.

Practicing Presentations:
You can book study rooms all over campus to practice presentations, either individually or with a group. Many of these rooms have TVs for you to project your presentation using AirTame software and practice presenting.

The testing center can be used for testing accommodations and to take rescheduled exams. Review the testing center website to reserve a testing appointment and coordinate with your instructor.

At TAP’s Fall Welcome event we are hosting a Family Feud-style game for our TAP peer allies to play. It will be a fun way to answer frequently asked questions and for new transfer students to learn more about UMass Lowell through a fun game show.

As I said before, there are so many people on campus who are cheering on your success and the hard work you are putting into your classes as they wrap up. This can still be a lot to manage and if you ever need support, I am more than happy to offer a listening ear and help however I can.
