Enrollment Tops 15,000 Students
Enrollment Tops 15,000 Students
SUU's student population now exceeds 15,000, a new school record. We experienced a 4.9% enrollment increase, which leads the state of Utah (again!) in year-to-year growth. The majority of our growth came from a 26% enrollment increase in online programs, with an 18% growth in graduate programs, 11.2% increase in international students, and a 8% growth in our undergraduate population.

Cybersecurity Club
Cybersecurity Places 3rd in National Competition
SUU's Cybersecurity Club took third place at the national Hack the Building 2.0 competition, beating schools like Loyola University of Chicago, Columbus State University, and cybersecurity rival, BYU. The victory has rocketed the team to a new level of collegiate excellence in the field and in academia.

EDA Grant
EDA Grant to Focus on Regional Workforce
SUU recently secured a five-year grant totaling $1 million from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA). The "FutureReady Utah Worksite Ecosystem Project" will focus on disadvantaged and rural regions to encourage collaboration between employers and business resource organizations to prepare for growth.

Learning Lives Forever
Learning Lives Forever Webinar
Rea Gubler and Peggy Wittwer will discuss "Keeping the Younglings Alive and Thriving" in a Learning Lives Forever Virtual Event on Thursday, November 16, at 4 p.m. The education duo will share what they have learned in their collective 79 years of teaching pretty much all age groups, making this a perfect discussion for educators and parents.
